Sig 556 pistol

I know the Sig 556 rifle is prohibited. But, does anyone know if the 556 pistol will be allowed into the country? Or, since it is based on the 550, is it by definition prohibited too?

You can import the lower though if your hell bent on using AR mags. There was a guy on here that had a swiss arms upper on a 556 lower forr sale. The upper is the firearm.
