I think this was discussed awhile back and someone extablished that the sig 55x are prohibs by name. Hope they were wrong.

Especially when the sig 556 is semi-auto only mfg. I don't see why these would not be classified non-restricted up here should they emerge.

I emailed Wolverine with the same question. They felt that it would be unrestricted like the SIG Black Special that can be ordered from them. However they were still waiting on whether the US State Dept will issue an export licence.

If it is considered unrestricted (Oh please! oh please!), it is more proof that the AR-15 is restricted only because of its "fame" and all the more reason to kill the registry.

One possibility is a lower swap. I believe the rep said the lowers will swap. So swap the lower on your Black Special and you have basically, a 556, without the goofy high rail.

It is all semantics until they start shipping. But, say USD$1299 for the gun. I'd say about $400 for the lower. Have to wait til next year.

Actually, am I the only one who gets the feeling that the RCMP are just enforcing the regs now, without hysterical liberals pushing the buttons. A year ago I don't think we'd have seen the PS90, FS2000 allowed in.
