My new P226ST in 9mm. Awsome gun. I'm glad i bought one before they ran out of production.

With some nice stickers that SIGARMS just sent me by mail

With my 5 years old service weapon that cover my a$$. This gun has over 10-12k rounds fired. Oh! and one of my 3 16 rounds mags...

Really like the P226ST, very heavy. Perfect for target shooting and some double taps. Also, I have nothing to complain about the P99. Very reliable service pistol. The finish is very tough as this gun has seen thousands and thousands of holstering (Kydex) and very very little care (read no care at all).

I just got one in .40, they are very nice guns, better than I thought it would be actually.

I thought about waiting for the P226ST Elite in .40, but I don't like the goofy beavertail or the wood grips, and you can fit the SRT to any P226 anyway. And it's going to be a long wait, end of May in the US, so that means late summer here.

My only real complaint is that I don't like the mags very much. The last round is too hard to get in, and they are excessively difficult to strip and put back together. Unfortunately only Mec-Gar has ever made mags for the .40 P226, Sauer never has, so there is no other option, other than I suppose getting some Mec-Gar large cap mags and having them pinned. But I think they both use the same spring anyway, so it probably wouldn't help.

I also think the blue plastic case it came with was a bit goofy, but I'll never use it anyway.

Congrats for your new pistol, it's seem to be a wonderful handgun. Just wondering, with your issued P99, are you from Mtl police or Quebec City police??

What's out of production? 9mm stainless or stainless altogether?! :(
Nice gun!
I want stickers for my Sig! :p

ST model.

Similar, SigArms used the made those SS, Sport models that are now discontinued. The current 'replacement' in terms of steel framed regular P22x are the Elite models...or if venture for about 2.5x-3x price, X5s.

It's not so much that they're out of production, the ST model really is more of a gun for target shooters, so SIG Arms is coming out in a couple of months with a stainless framed version of the P226 Elite, which is the replacement model. This will have wood grips, forward cocking serrations, a checkered front strap, the short reset trigger and a beavertail.

All of which are pointless except the SRT and maybe the forward cocking serrations, which is why I didn't wait.

I find it interesting that the equivalent model to the Elite in Europe doesn't have the SRT or the wood grips.

Yep, but as for the elite, the beavertail looks kinda weird on a P226. Just my personnal taste!

Yes...I'm 'conflicted' over this as well. Typically, I love the beavertail...on your 1911 or guns that normally would need one.

I think the X5 is hot as hell though ( as are X6 and X5 short/carry). The short X5 is the size of the regular P226 though but somehow look ok with the beavertail.

As Cybershooter suggested, the SRT(I want to try it) is a SigArms propriety mod.

Sport oriented P226s like the SL and Express have a tuned trigger and an internal triggerstop from the factory.
