I wouldn't hold my breath on the M96 anything Angus! Looks like RobArm is leaving M96 owners high and dry in order to push production of the XCR...I wonder what the spare parts situation will be for these rifles in 10 years?:( I think I'll stick with Swiss Arms/SIG!;)
 
There used to be a 7.62x51 version (the 540 IIRC)on the old reciever that predates the PE90 reciever. I think that FAMAE still makes their rifles on this version. But I don't know if they make the 7.62 version. Also, I'm not sure if that version isn't already prohib.

Yes the SG541 is 7.62mm and in a semi auto is not prohibited. However only Chile currentl makes them and they will not export.
