I am a Sig noob here. I think..no I KNOW I need one of these fine tools. Whats the diff? Can anyone please point me in the direction of some info? I am going to sell my beloved Tikka Tac in .223 and want to be sure I am getting the right gun for me this time.

Thanks!:)

Swiss Arms makes the Green Classic, Black Special, Black Special Target , Blue Star, Red Devil, and Heavy Metal Rifles.

They are all the same except for the color.

More info here:

http://www.swissarms.ch/

Keep in mind the 550 series as they are called on this site are the select fire versions and are prohibited in Canada.IIRC, the ones we get in Canada are called the PE90.

They are extremely accurate rifles (although expensive).

I have a Green Classic on the way and can't wait to play with it.:D

thanks SB...i read that you are getting your 'holy grail' and it got me all fired up!

It should be here by This Friday!!!!:D

If you happen to be at the range when I am (Poco or Abby), or at the Thompson Tac matches, I will let you give it a whirl.....;)

I am always up at PoCo on Friday afternoons and at least Sat/Sun...I Tried a buddies green classic and it was hot s**t! He is going to lend it to me to really try out this weekend.

Thanks very much for the offer! If I see ya I will take you up on it. I am usually lurking around Purevil, Laniru, and Colin (RO) from PoCo trying to steal brass:)

Now to sell everything I can to raise $$$!

I read somewhere that the green ones are actually more accurate than the black, something about the way the titanium in the paint lays against the metal thereby causing a reaction on the receiver metal which stiffens it quite a bit, the heavy metal is the least accurate as the clearcoat does not affect the pressed receiver in anyway.

I've also heard that tinfoil hats only work if they are assembled shiny side out.
