Sig Fury 277 - new 3pc case design rated for 80,000 PSI

I’ll probably give one a crack as a bush flying and backpack gun if I ever see one used once they’re available, just not the .277 only due to ammo availability. Modern as it is hard to deny the utility of a highly accurate 6lb folder.

I think one in 6.5 Creed would be pretty sweet. I'd even try one in .277 Fury if the ammo isn't crazy expensive/you can reload for it. Not sure how reloading would work with those hybrid cases?

Already come and gone, as did the electronic ignition. Brass makes a funner sound.

80K psi! Interesting. We have steels that can take that repeatedly, and the steel base takes care of primer pocket blowout, but the brass will be a one use affair.

This will be quickly Wildcatted (adding 2-3 grs more capacity) and we will hear stories of people "getting" 3300 fps with a 135 gr bullet "with no pressure signs"!

Interesting cartridge case & firearm re-design. ~25% above highest SAAMI max specified pressure.

About best I can do with my 300WM: 130gr TTSX@3800 fps mv.

Andy, my 270 Winchester achieves achieves 3,305 fps with 130 grains NAB.....all day long, no signs of pressure. The Sig Fury 277 should surpass 3,400 fps with the 135 grainers.
