Sig/gsg 1911 Zrts kit question

Ok looking for advice. I have a sig 1911 and want to accurize it and get the zrts kit or the one from tandemkross as it is in stock. The issue is reviews I have read about the zrts kit is it causes the gun to shoot high. My gun already shoots like 8” high at 15 yards also it has a ton of slop between barrel and bushing and the barrel rests at the bottom of the bushing. If I add a zrts kit will it shoot higher? Also the only taller sights I can find are a .300 tall Dawson Precision front sight. Will this be tall enough ??? I don’t mind a 6oclock hold but this is way too high!

Did the zrts kit...and then a novak adjustable rear sight with f/o front..works great..

Those of you with the ZRTS kits, what ammo do you use now? Before I put mine in my SIG 1911-22, I used CCI Mini Mags (HV stuff) and now use Federal Bulk (525 round box), still HV stuff. Just wondering (afraid to try it) if I can use standard velocity (ie: CCI SV) with the ZRTS kit or still have to us high velocity stuff?
 
Always run federal bulk...never had issues...and compared to other toys it’s damned cheap to shoot...lol. Tried Winchester white box...hated it...still had several thousand rounds unopened..bought when 22lr was hard to find a few years ago..
 
I run American Eagle, Federal 525 and CCI minimags through mine. I have used CCI SV and it works for about 200 rounds trouble free and then start having issues.

Tried Winchester white box, and will not use Remington rimfire ammo.
 
Ok sounds like consensus that they shoot high from factory. I have the tallest sight and POI is still 8” high. I will get a taller sight and the zrts kit and fingers crossed it will bring my groups down to a decent 6oclock hold

U can purchase an even taller sight for the gun ? I wasn’t aware
 
Update. Talked to Dlask today. They are out of stock as of now. They told me they will be making more but not any time soon and couldn’t give me a timeline on the next run.
 
i have the dlask adjustable rear and with the CW kit instead. i am running a .305 Front just to get POA/POI at 10m. YMMV because my friends Sig 22 has the same kit, but only had to use a .265. We both used the same CCI minimag.
