For anyone that owns a Sig LDC, wondering if you have tried other Sig P226 mags with it and what was the result?
I have multiple P226 mags from a Mk 25 & Legion that I've tried with an LDC and find when the magazine is in and the slide lock is released, the slide moves forward hesitantly and doesn't fully move forward. It hangs back about the same distance you need to retract the slide on a Glock to release the slide lock there. Then the slide needs a push from your thumb to fully engage forward. The issue is only with other P226 mags, new or well used. Usually when loaded up with 10 rounds. Less than 10, the slide moves forward fully.
However with the mags that come with the LDC, which have plastic bases compared to the all metal design of the Mk 25 & LDC mags, I've had no issues at all with operation of the plastic bottom mags They work flawlessly, fully loaded or not.
So I'm left wondering if there's a difference in the magazine that I cannot see and if others have had issue with other 226 all metal mags in their LDC's.
Any other Sig I have owned has never had any issue from day one. They all ran and flawlessly. However this Sig LDC isn't the same and its frustrating. I figured its mags are interchangeable. If they are interchangeable than my LDC has issues.
