I recently purchased a Sig Sauer 1911 Tac Pac 45 cal and i would like to get some extra magazines to load up at home so that when I go to the range I don't have to fiddle fart loading up there.

Now what magazines are compatible? I wanted to know all the options available before just getting Sig mags. Also, where is the best place to get them from in Canada as nobody I found ships here.

Any ideas?

$27 for the 8rd Sig 1911 mag from a sponsor, Questar:

I'm also receiving a Sig 1911 Match Elite and I'm wondering if there are 7rd mags that will fit flush instead of the 8rd mags that have a baseplate that sticks out... anyone know where I can get those?

Marstar has 7rnd GI mags that will work.

I bought a couple DLASK $19 ones and they fit and function fine. I just read in another 1911 magazine thread that someone had them break when stressed, probably if you shoot IDPA/IPSC and drop your mags on the ground. Might have to get some of those SIG ones form Questar.

Any other Canadian store sell them? Who makes these 7rd mags?

"Officer, Commander and GI" are confusing me... (new to 1911's) don't all models have the same grip length and take the same style magazine or should I be just getting a certain 7rd mag. My model is a full sized 5" barreled model.

Brownells has a lot of name brand 7rd mags for the 1911. Mec-Gar 7rd mags have perfect reviews and are $23.99 there, Wilson Combat "service mags" are $19.95...
