Most Dealer/importer’s imported what they could sell at the time, unless it was
surplus.
Sig and Beretta developed the 540 series of firearms
Beretta called their product AR70 series
A very small number of factory built semi automatic AR70’s and BM60 rifle’s were imported
by Allen Lever back in the day
I think it probably is less than 6 total

Does the SG550 stock fit? I imported a collapsing stock from Switzerland with no issue. I can dig up the name of the site I used if you'd like it

SG 550 and 540 stocks aren't interchangeable.
