Hey guys, picked up a second hand misquito, mostly jams and ejection problems, perhaps the hook needs to be replaced? Also when the shells jam they really jam, wondering if theres any way to buff or lightly bore the 12mms the shell is saddled? Anyways let me know guys thanks

Ps bought for next to nothing

glad you paid almost nothing. what ammo are you using? it is picky with ammo, mine loves crappy remington thunderbolts. Also, which spring is inside? the gun comes with 2 usually, one for normal loads one for heavy loads like the mini mags. Once I switched to the normal spring, most of my ejection problems disappeared.

you can buff/polish the chamber to make extraction smoother too

Saw a few interesting youtube videos on the polishing, ill give that a go. Dont know which spring i have, anyone have an idea where i could get them from?

I have good luck using round nosed CCI Blazer ammo. Federals worked good too. Larger nose cavity on Winchester ammo wasn't liked much. Remington truncated cone on their thunderbolt crap ammo ironically worked well, go figure!

When I bought mine almost a year ago the dealer polished the feed ramp and debured the chamber and I never had any problems using CCI mini mags to break it in(first 500) I switched to Federal blue box and put appx 250 thru it with only the odd fail to fire or fail to eject but i think I'm to blame for the fail to eject as I catch myself riding the slide with my index finger causing friction, mine seems to function just as good as my GSG maybe I lucked out? Or the mods helped out

The CCI and Federal bulk packs also work flawlessly with mine, other flavors vary, some badly. Mine doesn't like the truncated thunderbolt crap at all, and is willing to be very difficult if I should try.

I was using CCI Mini Mags in mine for about 1000 rounds. Then switched to the lighter spring that was shipped with the unit and found that it fired great with bulk 22 ammo. I always keep oil with me when shooting the mosquito and put a drop into the slide hole everyone hundred rounds.

fed bulk blue 525 pack and blazer work great in my mosquito it dosent even like the fed auto mach wich is usaly a hit with the rest of my .22 handguns

I tried at least 10 different types of ammo,
and Thunderbolts were the only ones that worked reliably.
After about 500 rds. went threw it, not so picky anymore.
