Hey guys I posted in the rimfire section as this is more a 'big gun' handgun forum. anyways all they talk about there is .22 rifles so I will ask here as we are handgun owners. Is anyone an owner of one of these guns and how do you like it? Thanks and im pretty sure its a sale but some pre-buy feedback would be good. cheers!

My spouse owned a Sig Mosquito Sport, and we didn't have any major problems with it. It was a bit finicky about the ammunition, but a lot of .22 pistols are. It seems to like CCI ammo, so if you stick to that you should be fine.

It handles quite nicely. Especially someone who has relatively small hands will appreciate the grip. It's not bulky at all. The standard sights are not overwhelming but they work well enough.

good enuff....... I have a ruger mk3 hunter stainless fluted and it only likes (in my mind) Winchester 40gr. copper plated..... yes im looking for a small compact 22 and I think that's the one..... thanks for the reply.

The only guy I know who bought one never really got it working well despite multiple warranty repairs. I shot it a bunch of times, and honestly, it was disappointing. The gun looks good, feels good, and when it was working it shot good. Unfortunately it wasn't working very often.

The reviews on the gun are mixed. If you are deadset on buying one my advice is the get it new with the warranty rather than used.

I would not buy a mosquito, search on the forum, you will find issues here and there about it,....... did you tried Blazer Alum Ammo in your Mark III ? works flawless in mine.

Had one for yrs . Never had a problem .
They come with 2 recoil springs (light & heavy)
Use the right one for the ammo you want to use & you won't have issues.
Use the wrong one with the wrong ammo & you will have issues including cracked slides .

hmmmmmmmm thanks for all the input..... Scratching my head now. Maybe not a good deal after all..... I will go read more reviews. Thanks........ Tazik I was referring to the groups I was getting on paper with the Winchester ammo compared to other brands. I have a few thousand rounds thu it (just bot it this year) and only one misfire so far.

I have the threaded barrel version, had it for 5 years now and have put thousands of rounds through it. Never had a problem. I love it, it's a good size and is accurate. The only thing I have found is that it only likes to shoot CCI ammo.

I've had mine for a few years and found that mine likes Rem. Thunderbolts the best.
Got a brick of them awhile back from LeBaron for $14.99.
The Mosquito is too small and light for my tastes, and it will be going on E.E., soon.

#1 my friend, the Mark III is one of the most reliable ou here; for info, my wife has a Colt 1911, Gov Model in 22lr, I've put a hogue grip on it, very acurate and it works with any ammo, I like this gun!

yes indeed....... one of my best purchases ever. the ruger mk3 .....
