. . or those of you who have owned/shot/cleaned
Sig pistols. I noticed something about mine that caught
my attention and wanted to ask;
I was cleaning my 220 barrel the other day and saw
'scratches' in the bore mostly at the throat end.
Not alot maybe 4 or 6 of them and not really bad
either, but I've never seen them before on any of the
Sigs I've owned or any other pistol barrel for that matter.
Kinda looks like a few grains of sand were sitting in the
barrel just waiting for the bullet to push them thru.
I've only shot WWB and Rem. leadless in this gun and
it has about 700ish rnds. thru it.

Similar findings anyone ?

Yeah, I know. I tried some pics, but get'n the light rite
inside a bore half way down is a lil tricky.
Anyway, yeah they're scratches. I can (just) feel them with my
right angle pik. Real fine too, like width wise, copper marks
are usually a bit wider I would think.

could be from inproper cleaning techniques. most people do more damage to their bores from cleaning the barrel wrong. this is more adament when cleaning AR's!
