I can't speak to the CZ's but that 75th BHP was atrocious; they ruined a great gun by adding garbage engraving. If they had made a mk1 repro I'm sure they would have sold quickly. The only company I can think of that does special editions well is Colt, the WWI Carbonia Blue for instance.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I've even seem some Colt specials I shake my head at. It's what I like about the LAV RTF2 Glocks. Upgraded sights and controls, unique frame texture and specific serial numbers, but at first glance just a regular Glock.
