what you guys think about a sig p220 (blued) in a 45cal and what think is a good price for one in good shape with 600 to 700 rounds throught it

Yeah, it'd have to come with a lot of accessories to be worth $1000 used (unless it's a special model like the solid steel ones).

I have a P220 in 9mm, very happy with it, bought it used for $850 and it came with a kydex holster and double mag pouch. And extra grips.

I had a P220 stainless with glow sites, muzzel flip was just too much!

And I really didn't like a roll stamped reciever with pinned in fireing control group!

I Would rather go something else!

The "receiver" (a.k.a. frame) is forged aluminum alloy. It is the slide that's stamped and welded, with a pinned breech block. Newer (i.e. manufactured in the last 10 years or so) P220s have a solid stainless steel slide.

If it's a newer P220 with a stainless slide, I would only buy it if it had an external extractor. Sig has been having problems with internal extractors lately (older stamped slide West German guns with internal extractors were okay).

Other than that, P220 is an outstanding pistol.

Not enough information.

You have not provided enough information to determine a value. Some Sig P220's in the early series have stamped steel slides. Some have aluminum frames. In order to get to a reasonable value more data about the gun must be known, otherwise, without it, for my money, a P220 is worth C$500.00.

sig P220-R Sig is an older style blue slide, internal extractor traditional
DA/SA action trigger w/o night sights conventional
thumb button magazine release.

220r ... have rails ... that would mean newer nitron finish , with stainless slide...

i believe they stopped the blued finish with the stamped slides, unless it could be a hybrid cpo,. ive seen some 226's cpo's that have newer frames with the rails . but have the old stamped slides put on them from early 90's

if its one of these id avoid it all together. not worth anything imho.

if you can see a date code on the bottom of the slide up by the muzzle .that will indicate its a stamped slide.. and the 2 letters it gives (ie KB ) would indicate the year it was made.

if you can get any of this info. we can help you better.

btw is this at a dealer or private sale.. what color is the case it comes in ?
red = cpo and blue = new at one point

I agree with Wolff. The 220R has never been offered with a stamped slide, so it's gotta be a mix & match CPO. Personally, I wouldn't buy it unless the price was really low.
