SIG P220 or HK USP .45

Depending on your hand size, I'd say small to medium mitts, go with the P220, but I can see how someone with large mitts being uncomfortable shooting a single stack. I've shot the USP45 but the grip was far too thick for me, I prefer the P220, that and the USP's give a bit of a bite on the front of the grip.

I don't have large hands, and apparently my dumbass assumed the HK grip would be smaller than the P220's.

Oh well.... I'm used to shooting with larger grips. I had no idea the Sig had a single stack... It's the next gun anyway.

Well the USP is a good gun, look wise the 220 has it in spades over the USP.

I've had a Sig P220 in 9mm and loved it, but sold it cause I picked up a P226. In the near future I'd be picking up a P220 in 45acp as well, so you are with good company when you decide on a P220.

I don't want to highjack this thread, but I am interested to know you choice on the USP vs SIG 220 if you were considering it in 9mm instead of .45.

What is difference between P220 and a P226?

I can assume both the SIG and H&K are reliable and accurate. How about dealer service/warranty in Canada and required maintenance (simplicity)?

Who are the dealers in Toronto?

P220-single stack
P226-double stack

Practically speaking, you'll find it difficult to find a P220 9mm today unless used/Police refurb. It is still offered as a conversion kit in Europe(and a very high cost too btw).
