SIG P220 or SIG P226?

which do you like to shoot better 9 or 45 ?
with that get the 226 if you like 9 or 220 if you like 45. both pretty much the same gun.. 220 grip is thinner, holds only 7 or 8 rounds , 226 you get 10rounds, honestly go try both, its the only way you will really know.
the 220 came out before the 226, the 226 is pretty much a 220 that holds a bigger mag. imho, i like the 220 in 45 over any 1911, but thats just me, im not saying i dont like them. im just saying for me, the feel and comfort level are better. check out sigforum.com if you want to get technical lots of good sig info on there.

I also have a .45 1911, but on my way to buy a P220 I saw a second hand mint P226 wink at me from the display case at 60% of new price. I love it. And the .40 cal is a good medium between 9mm and .45. Also you can get a.357 barrel for the 226 giving you another caliber choice. The mags handle both calibers.

I've heard a lot of great things about the 220 and it's on my list, but I haven't shot one yet. That said, I have a 226R stainless in .40 and a 229R in 9mm and they are both very accurate and very reliable (no stoppages of any kind from either yet). From everything I've read and experienced it seems you just can't go wrong with a SIG. The 226 is a fairly big gun, probably not a lot smaller than the 220 so it really comes down to calibre preference.

I have several of both the 220 and 226. Both are every fine pieces.

I prefer the 220 over the 226, although an all-stainless 226 in either 9mm or 40S&W is a pleasure to shoot.

I also prefer the 45 over the 9 and 40, but the 9mm ammo is a bit less expensive.

I believe everyone should own a P220ST :D

I hope you like it. I too am waiting on a sign P220 stainless elite. Can't wait for the order to come through. YAY!
