Has anyone heard anything about the P225-A1 being imported into Canada? I understand that the new P225-A1 uses the P238 barrel and as there are already P238 Tactical's with the extended threaded barrel being sold in Canada I thought we would have seen this configuration here by now. I have seen pictures from the US with the pistol in this configuration; for use with suppresors, but not on Sig's site.

Another good looking gun ruined by the Pinocchio barrel. Figure you'll have an extra 2/3in sticking out the front its to be wicked ugly IMO. Wouldn't mind a revived P220 in 9mm without the rail though....one can dream.

Agree on all counts....love the 220, unrailed....

Thanks for the link. It's odd that no one else seems to be stocking these.
I think that I'll wait to see if other dealers start to stock them as the price is more than I am willing to pay but kudos to the dealer for bringing them here.

I hear you. Rarity or novelty comes with a premium price. To be fair, it seems like all the sigs are creeping up there in price these days. In my experience though, Bullseye's pricing is typically reasonable and they are great to deal with fwiw.

I've got one of he originals. I would highly recommend getting a P225, whether the A1 or original. Basically a single stack P228. They feel great in your hand.

It's basically a cosmetically modified P239.

Sort of. The trigger guard is undercut and i believe the handle is a slightly longer. Which means a more full grip and slightly higher. This is why the above poster is talking about the feel in hand. I am not sure on the trigger reach but have heard that it is slightly shorter than the 239 as well. Its an interesting option if you are looking for something for someone with small hands

Ours will look like this:

Sig started making the p225-a1 recently so here's hoping they produce the threaded barrel version again to

Id really like if they did as im trying to get my hands on a P225 as well but i dont hold my breath. I know a few made their way up here a few years ago so with some luck a few used one will show up on the EE once in a while :)

Just bought one from a CGN. Nice pistol and they are based on the original 225 with some improvements. SIG threaded barrel is too short to meet our laws.

Are you 100% sure about that? P225A1 use the same barrel as the P239. And the P239 tactical with sig factory threaded barrel are restricted.

Edit: found the video where i got this info. At around 8:20 you can see him instal a P239 tactical barrel in the P225A1 and it look exactly the same length as the picture posted earlier

With Sig's lack of quality control nowadays, I'd rather track down one of the West German stamped slide P6 / P225's that were imported with a legal barrel.

I should have bought one years ago when they were available.

Pretty sure. The SIG threaded barrel is 4". 1/4" too short.`
