Trying to find one. Anybody know where I might be able to get one?

Ordered one from Cabela's. Got shipped etc but just got an email from them saying there is no stock and they shipped me a lock

SIG USA stopped the production of p22X 22LR pistols a few years ago.

It's striker fired TupperWare time now!

The P226 9x19,357SIG, & 40 S&W top ends are the CalX Change kits needed for a 4 cal pistol.

I have several.

GSDesigns.ca 3 D print slide hold open magazines for the P220,226,228/229.

I don't really have much interest in the cal changes right now, that's why I was specifically trying to find a 22, I really like my canik tp9's.

I had also already ordered the Gsdesign goodies after Cabela's sent me a shipping notification.

Apparently the 22 can also be converted to the centerfire Cal's also but at this point in time I have no interest in it. I want my next purchase to be a 45acp.

Like I said tho I was able to locate a shop that had one in stock and the transfer process has been started. So they do actually have it.

I just got one from Italian Sporting Goods in Vancouver. They didn’t realize it was there, until I asked them to check, since the website had it listed. There was one on display at the Abbotsford BC Cabelas, but it could easily be gone.

I bought a Sig P226R about 10 years ago, in 40 S&W.
I also bought the .22LR conversion kit to go along with it.
Best money I ever spent!
.22 kit works great, and cheap to shoot.

Bought my P226 with the E2 grip back in 2013 and also a 22 conversion kit. Been super happy with that combination. Works for my clients and my training! Magazines are around $48 when you can find them.

Cheers, Barney

Have you tried the GSdesigns 3D printed ones ? I have had zero issues and he can make you all you need and they have a last round hold open If you have the sig ones he makes a 3D printed follower replacement for last round hold open.

I’m going to check gsdesigns out. I just emailed Blackdogmachinellc about their 22lr AR follower that the sig forums reference. Be nice to go Canadian.

BlackDog followers are a waste of time & money as are the GSDesign followers that jam the slide for "so called" hold open.

Purchase the platform specific GSDesigns.ca magazines....Thank Me later.

note-
SIG P226 & P229 magazine bodies are identical.
The P229 mag base plate is .300" taller to fit the shorter 229 frame/mag well & can easily be modified to fit/function w/ a P226.

I have 2 P226 SIG 22LR mags that have been modified to fit inside a P227 10rd mag to run a P220 22LR top end assy one on my P227's.

There's a gas station/gun shop in Pembroke that had one or two 22Lr conversion kits remaining in stock. If you google Perkins you should be able to find a phone number.

$849.00

Ouch

That would probably be for a complete P226 (Classic) pistol in .22LR. There was a time when buying a P226 in .22LR + a separate complete 9mm slide kit was cheaper than or the same as buying a 9mm pistol.
