Sig P226 - 9mm or .40S&W?

Following suit...

As mentioned I have a 9mm, but it is lonely in the safe, so eventually there will be a second p226 9mm added(for the wife) and later a 9mm with threaded barrel and a equinox .40 converted to .357 sig. That should hold me over on sigs for a while when I get there! So as you can see all three of the sigs I will add to my collection all of them will use 9mm projectiles but one will have bottle necked cases.

love my 226 in 9mm. I bought it used (it's probably 15 -20 yrs old) it's deadly accurate and fires whatever I run through it. If we could carry in Canada it would be the one I would choose hands down. Probably gonna buy another 226 in 9mm. It's too bad we cant have the high capacity mags here.

You mean, normal capacity 15round magazines...

i disagree

.40 is a 9mm hopped up on some roids, bit more recoil, alot more hitting power, not that the paper cares how hard it hits, and should only be 4 -6 dollars per box more, but in my mind 9 mm is a pea shooter, which it is about that size, nothing agianst it, law enforment uses it for extra magazine capacity and more and more military and police are using the .40, but either way neither have alot of recoil

alright 9mm it is! I guess there's a reason all the ones you see for sale are 40 cals...

Get the .40 or the .357sig model and you can enjoy the best of all of the calibers.

Bar-Sto makes a conversion 9mm barrel that you can put into the .40/.357sig model, see barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=226&cco=66

You can not do this with the factory P226 Sig 9mm barrel.

Once you have the Bar-Sto barrel, you need a 9mm P226 mag and you are good to go.

Now you have the ability to scale up or down in 9mm, .40 and .357sig as your funds or fun requirements dictate.
