Today wanted to try my BNIB Sig P226 Classic 22 LR i bought myself in the Black Friday... Took a full box of Win 222 36 gr ammo and proceded at shoot them as fast i could reload my 3 mags...
I went tru all the ammo 222 rounds without a single issue, all were perfect, this ammo is kind of entry level stuff... Bought 3 boxes at Baron yesterday...
Will go back tomorrow to skim them out of all the ammo left...
This Sig pistol, i would qualifie of 100% reliable and huge on fun factor...
Good for me... JP.

^^ This has been my experience as well using the same ammo you did, except mine is the .22 conversion kit. Never had an issue, except that it seems to run out of ammo far too quickly...

I'm leaning towards this for the wife's first. She was looking at the mosquito...but at least this could upgrade to a 9mm later if she wanted... For $599 right now, i think that's a good deal.

Hey JP, I have the same gun I bought last fall from Cabellas. The only issue I've had is the feeding ramp getting fowled up but a quick cleaning cured the problem.

P226 Classic is for real. Probably the most reliable 22 on the market and it's convertible to centerfire calibers. Make sure you clean them after every session as 22LR is freakin' dirty ammo.

When my little Beretta surplus 74 adj get here from Gary and my 617 S&W from Bulleyes, we gonna have some 22 LR shooting session... Cool. JP.

You won't be disappointed. I love mine though I did have reliability issues when I first got it. Took a few bricks of Remington thunderbolts and now it runs anything and everything flawlessly. Enjoy a great pistol

These are great! Add GS Designs lock open on empty mags and you have a real .22 auto. I don't know why SIG didn't use the design GS uses, but hopefully they will some day. Steel, lock open on empty mags were available for a while in Europe (50+ Euros and then shipping them here) but I haven't seen them since I bought the .22 conversion kit.

I have the mags for P226 and P229 and am about to equip my P220 as well.

My Sig P226 Classic 22LR came from the big Irunguns family... Thanks to Steve, Jason and the gang... JP.

When I get my RPAL I am planning on buying that gun. On the expensive side but getting the 9mm conversion kit makes it an easier choice.
