I have put about 500 rounds thru one and have kind of taken a liking to it.

I have never liked the DA/SA guns I have a reall hate for the 1911 and M9.
Any of you guy's have a 226 any problems you have found (springs trigger problem's ETC)

the spare mags I have found are expensive so that's one con but this is not a cheap sport anyway.

Now to the next issue trying to find one.
Any of you guys see one?

It's a nice pistol and I enjoy running mine a lot. Be advised though, accessories, such as holsters so not fit properly. The rail used is not the standard Sig mount. Rather is a true 1913 rail and nobody makes a holster to actually fit it. I've found the G-Code works not bad, but the rail forces the pistol tightly in the holster and can leave marks on the slide. Don't even try a Serpa, you probably won't get the pistol back out of after. Again, nice pistol and it operates very smoothly but it brings with it peculiarities.

I have a Blade-tech holster that fits perfect. Tension is adjustable.

Or you can order a Sig P226 holster right from Questar. They have them in stock.

SIG's own holster won't fit either. Note the footnote on their own website, it's a no-go.

Here is the note

This holster fits P226 rail only. Fits all calibers.
*** Does not fit P226 X5 and MK25 models

So, ya it fits the Combat model.....as it has the standard rail like my Tacops.

well I picked one up used actually is brand new in the box got lucky and mentiond this to a buddy on FB and said his cousin just bought one but lost his job.

So I can't wait the get home from work and get it.
I will just make my holster myself I make alot of them for buds and some other people who want them.

I will probably run a sure fire 300 on it so making my own kydex leather wrapped will make it have a perfect fit.

Thanks guys for the help. I am sure it will be a great pistol as you never really do hear about to many sig problems.

Oh and it was my lucky day I picked it up with 500rnds for 600 bucks.

I've owned the same German made 226 for the last 20 years and NEVER had a problem with it - EVER. There's no rail which means there is a ton of holsters out there that will fit it. If Sigarms is gonna be the only supplier for Sig pistols this side of the pond, they should at least still make a rail an optional feature. Sure, the wanna streamline production to cut costs, but I think forcing railed pistols on everyone can detract from an otherwise fine weapon.

A rail is great, but if you've got no use for it then it's just a pain in the posterior. I'm not a SWAT team member, so I'd buy a non-railed Norc before I buy a railed Sigarms product...but it looks like even that option may be coming to a close.

On that note, I just purchased a second German made 226 from a gent on the EE here today - with no rail.

Just my preference, though, and everyone is entitled to theirs.

Whatever. The standard P226 rail is not the same as the 1913 Pic rail in use on the Combat (or TacOps). For that matter, neither is the trigger guard shaped the same, which in itself can cause problems with some accessories. Try mounting an X300 on the Combat and see what happens.

You are quite right. I was wrong about the Combat . But the TacOps has the standard Rail. I thought the Combat had the same standard rail as the TacOps, but it is the newer 1913 Pic rail.

I picked up a Sig P226 9mm last year & have so far fired about 6-700 rounds with no issues what so ever. Also have a S&W M&P 40, very nice to shoot & no issues with this either!
