Howdy.

Is there a reference where one can check the date of manufacture of a
Sig P226 using the pistol serial number?

If yours has a date code (and not all P226s do), it will be on the "chin" of the slide under the muzzle. The codes:

A = 0
B = 1
C = 2
D = 3
E = 4
F = 5
G = 6
H = 7
J = 8
K = 9

Mine is KB, or 91.
