I read that the new production Sigs have decocking levers that do not hit/contact the frame when you slingshot and release the lever.
This could be verified when the decocking lever is pushed all the way up, it should not touch the frame. I bought mine last 2011 and the lever has caused a nick. This is caused by a small/lesser pronounced hump on lever that will prevent it from touching the frame.

I'm now looking to get a new decocking lever which has this hump. Anyone who knows where could I get one? I don't see it one in questar's website.

TIA.

Not sure where to find one but I got my P226 in 2013 and no marks or damage to slide. De cocker does not touch slide when pushed up on.

I've had 2 Sig 226's and neither had damage from the decocker. It doesn't touch the frame. Sounds like you got a Decocking Lever that may be out of spec. May just be the spring or the bushing.

Brownells has the entire decocker system for Sig, including the spring, bushing, lever. Can even get a lever in Nickel, Blue or Two Tone. Put the 'tt' in the link where the dashes are.

Make sure you click on each item to make sure it's for the P226.

I ordered a plunger (pin) for my M9 and some driver bits and ejector removal tool from brownells.
It's still held up by CBSA. These are not even frames, slide, receivers. It's just a pin and a tool.
So I guess a lever would have to go this route as well.

I have a Brownells shipment that hasn't moved from the Chicago sorting station for 6 weeks now. I inquired after 4 weeks and they launched an investigation. A week later they sent me another package that arrived in 4 working days. Brownells is awesome.

I will wait few more weeks and then do what you did.
Mine is in mississauga sorting facility. I never had a delay long than 1 week.
The previous order I made with brownells last year was cleaning tools and AR-15 vise block. It was held for 5 days, but oh boy, it was inspected by CBSA due to a an "AR15" in the declaration slip.

Couple of years ago I had a mistaked Colt BCG, so I sent it back to Colt in Hartford via their FEDEX shipping label, I was told by them to attach a warranty paperwork.
After a week, Colt sent me a new BCG and it was just "overnight" via FEDEX.

I'll try to inquire with MD Charlton.
I don't think your will have issues with it.
Mine came with the blue box and has small nick now, I just don't want it to get bigger/worse when time comes.

I will just need the decocking lever.

Looking for one in country first before I get to order one stateside.

I watched a really well-made YouTube review of a first handgun and a SIG by a Canadian owner, the video is out there. He got a fair sized nick on the frame from the decocker on his first time out with it at the range. Sent it in to M.D. Charlton and it was there for months, like almost six months as I remember before he got it back. And guess what reply he got from M.D. Charlton ... it is normal wear to be expected and they did not do anything.

Reading the Sig forum at least one Sig armorer disagrees and says this decocker nick is not normal to be expected wear.

I wonder whether the factory made any production changes, whether the purchase and installation of a shim would prevent this? Perhaps we might get an answer from M.D. Charlton?

I came to know about this issue watching an SRT Kit install for P220. The kit came with a decocking lever and the difference with the one installed on his pistol is the hump on it for that issue.
Although the SRT Kit for 226 didn't come with one. Did a Google search and saw of this new lever spec that prevents from touching the frame.
It's not normal wear on the frame. That's why Sig came out with the updated levers. It's a must to get it replaced so I dint need to worry putting more wear in the frame during decock.

Found one. A guy from sigtalk sent me a decocking lever for 228 in the mail complete with spring, bushing and shim free of charge. The shim made the D-lever action smooth and more positive.
