I just use the Hoppes Oil on my P226s, with no issues. I usually put 700 rounds through mine between cleanings, and it seems like the gun would keep going for at least double that.

We some times get carried away with brand loyalty.. most of what has been posted will work well..
I for one will probably not out live my stock of cleaners and oils in the cabinet
