Sig P226 magazine question

Think I maybe heard the 40's work in 9, I said maybe. Never heard anything on the Sig round. I wouldn't chance it myself, but I'm a picky bastard.

Should work out okay for the OP. Might even be able to fit 13rnds of 9mm in it. Sometimes the feed lips might be a bit wider from use and the 9mm may not seat properly. BUT you got the mag in front of you, load it up with 9mm and if they don't go flying out under spring tension, you might be good to go. Do a live-fire with it at the range to check for reliabiliy or I dunno, maybe check with the guy you did a mag swap with next time you run into him?

.357 Sig is .40 necked down with a .357 bullet. The magazines, slides and extractors are identical.

9mm will fit, but as mentioned may have feed issues.

The mag will fit prefect but your 9mm rounds may or may not retain in the mag. Also if you luck out and the 9mm rounds are held by the mag lips, you might have the slide lock back with one round left in the mag. This is because the 9mm round is smaller in diameter and allows the mag platform to sit high on the last round and push up on the slide catch.

This is what happens with my M&P, plus the mag doesn't always drop free. On the other hand, my Girsan Beretta knockoff functions perfectly with a Beretta 96 mag...
