Need some help and or advice..Bought a brand new Sig as stated above took it out and shot it maybe a couple of boxes and everything was excellent...Decided to put in a Srt kit and everything went well in putting it together. Dry fired and everything is excellent..Finally took it to the range and put some rounds through it and all of a sudden it starts kicking the mag out while shooting. Checked to make sure I wasn't slapping the mag release and same thing happened. Put the original trigger kit back in thinking it was the srt that was at issue..Nope same thing happening as I shoot maybe 3 or 4 rounds band the mag drops...I'm at a loss. I did send the pistol back for warranty work and they sent it back saying there were no issues. Well there are issues and I can't figure it out...Any ideas or help would be welcome.

Make sure you fully seat the mag. It might be because your springs are new, should get better as your round count increases. Only thing I can think of at the moment.

Take a good look at the mags? & when you take the slide off just carefully look for anything that's out of the ordinary? if the ammo change works your "golden".

... right... never experienced that myself with multiple guns, and many many mags

It definitely happens with other guns, but I regularly run 4+ different types of magazines in my SIG's. Only the 10 rounds metal SIG mags frequently have seating issues.

Check the inside of the mag release. It doesn’t take much. It may be slightly out of spec or manufacturing defect and not allowing the mag to engage properly so the mag disengages during recoil and falls out. I had this happen to my Glock. I could not pull the mag out no matter how hard I try but the mag would predictably fall out after one shot. I even call it and it happens.

If doing the above suggestions don’t work, I would ask for a new mag release to be sent out. Since a slightly out of spec mag catch won’t look different from a new one and if the Warranty Depot didn’t shoot the gun, they may not even notice a problem.

My guess is if your gun can feed 3-4 rds before kicking out the mag and it happens with all your mags, then it’s likely not a human mag seating issue.

Well yes they are the Sig metal mags however they seem to seat properly if I'm understanding you..The mag is in there tight and seems to be locked. Hit the mag eject button and it slips out really nice. I will try with an open slide and see what happens

You shouldn't be experiencing this, that said I only use mecgar mags in my sigs. Doubt that's your problem though.
I'd closely look at the mag release, remove and check all parts.

Best

When you seat the mag, look at the button to see if it is out all the way, I have one , with a full mag, hard to set with the slide closed, I have no trouble with the slide open, which is as it should be anyway. factory SS mags
