Why don't you try looking on Questars website or any of the other site sponsors that sell Sigs (Wolverine Supplies). If the Sig is on there then you can rest assured that it's legal to own in Canada.
Personally I went with a P226 Classic 22 and am ordering the 9mm exchange kit. If you factor in shipping + extra mags then it works out to almost the same as purchasing a P226 9mm then buying the .22 exchange kit. Almost...but not exactly.
Good luck with your purchase and remember that you can't go wrong with either Sig. If you're really concerned then just grab a Glock 17 and save yourself the worry![]()
How can it be the same? If you buy P226 .22lr is about $600 and the 9mm kit is about $300, so the total is about $900.
On the other hand, if you buy P226 9mm which is about $1000-$1100 and the .22lr conversion kit will be about around $300, so the total is around $1300-$1400.
Of course it is cheaper to go with the .22lr gun first then get the 9mm conversion. Not the other way around.
