Hey y'all,

So I picked myself up a sweet little Sig Sauer P226 S not too long ago. I was all excited to take it down to the range, but the first time I fired it, I got some brass in the face for my trouble. I tried a little repositioning, but every other time I fired the fu*ker, a casing would tag me in the forehead.

I had a couple buddies at the range with me that day, and they both complained of the same problem.

Now bear in mind, I fire pistol from the right hand, but I'm left eye dominant, so I hold the weapon further to the left than most. That said, is this a common issue with this pistol? Any other shooters want to weigh in here?

Cheers.

The only problem I had was when the the .22lr came out too fast from my conversion kit bounced off the wall and down my shirt. I had zero issues with the 9mm slide. Mine was a West German model.

LOL that's kinda funny. Any chance you can upload a video of your brass dodging skills in action?

All kidding aside, maybe it's something to do with your extractor? Did you buy the gun new or used?

Not every shot. I figured the extractor was to blame, but as I bought it new, I wanted to see what the community had to say before I consulted a gunsmith.

Then how often? Ive got a couple SIGs that will occasionally fling one back in my face...Maybe 1 in 700 or so...never been to concerned about it.

I see your in Vancouver...Barry @ bits of pieces does good work if you decide to take it to a Smithy.
