I have not heard anything about a P226 Stainless Legion on either of the two big Sig forums. I have heard there will be Legion versions of all the popular pistols and rifles.

The P226 Legion SAO is awesome! A P220 Legion SAO is reportedly coming this Fall.

it seems that many are asking, "Should I get the stainless or the legion?"

If it was both it would be highly desired in my opinion.

Where is the nickel?

if anything the stainless is more manly then the legion having the stainless frame instead of aluminum.

Isn't the Legion a distinctive unique finish available only to that line? If you make it stainless, then that kind of defeats the unique features that makes it identifiable as being one of the Legion Series of pistols.

Sig should just make them all like the Legion and loose the lame branding.

The PVD finish, may it be good or bad is one of the unique features that makes the Legion a legion. Listen up SIG make it stainless and brand it Legion Elite. Then count me in. Next question SAO or SA/DA which is better.

You want stainless, forget this whole Legion thing. Bring back the X5! Better gun with less hype/branding B.S.

I think they're all stainless slides, just some have aluminum alloy frames.

I've got the original P226 stainless without a beavertail. Love it to pieces, though it's a lot heavier than my MK25!

I too have an original 226 Stainless and it's great to shoot. Very accurate and although it is heavier it means that there is very little felt recoil. I haven't shot a "Legion" series pistol yet but I can't imagine the trigger would be that much better that it would tempt me away from my current model which is broken in very nicely.

I have both--the Legion SAO trigger is superior, unless you don't like SAO.

SAO or SA/DA. Depends what you want to do with it. For target shooting all things being equal the SAO will almost always be better than the SA/DA. All my target handguns are SAO. If you want it for a combat/duty type role then SA/DA may be better depending on your preference. When the adrenaline is pumping through you more resistance on the first shot is probably a good thing.

To be honest the trigger is the same, i have a P226 SSE and i felt the trigger on a Legion and i would say they are almost identical. I much prefer the heft of my SSE as well. Not many handguns will sway me from my P226 SSE its just a sweet shooter and quite the looker too!

The trigger in my 226 extreme and my 229 legion is night and day difference. The legions is made of a mixture of butter, glass, and pure happiness.

You really need to actually fire the Legions--not sure dry-firing will give you the full picture. Try one if you get the opportunity!
