Has anyone purchased a P226 X-Six L1 and had it shipped with the standard 226 ten round magazines without the silver metal floor plate extension? Every single advertisement that I've seen for this pistol shows the magazine with the silver metal extension.
Why is the Canadian distributor for Sig shipping these pistols with the wrong magazine.

Probably because the mags with the silver floorplate are high caps, and the floor plates won't fit on the 10rd mags.

Because it's too much trouble to get the hi-caps pinned and shipped from factory. Mine was shipped with 10 rounders.

I ordered the pistol as it was advertised with X-Six magazines. Any changes should certainly be stated before the pistol is ordered.
Both my X-Five L1 9mm and my X-Five L1 40 s&w came with the proper magazine pinned to 10 rounds.
There is also a huge difference in price between the X mags and the standard 226 mags.

Depending where you got it from, I did have a friend that call R.Nicoles that imported his X5 and successfully got the mags replaced. But I guess it would depend on who imported it.

I was just looking through a couple 226 X6 adds, and they do all show it with the mag extension. The adds all say it comes with 19 rnd mag (too evil for us of course) but only one add ( sauer-waffen) mentions the mag extension as a standard feature.

I think I'll just use my 226 9mm X-Five magazines in the 226 X-Six for now. That should give them lots of time to ship the proper 19/10 round mag.
Still have to wait and see what the distributor has to say.
Sure makes me wonder if this is a new piece of legislation that is coming down the pipe.

Well, I just heard back from my dealer and the news is great.:D The distributor is coming through with the proper 226 X-Six 19/10 magazines with the silver metal floor plate extension. :dancingbanana: I have agreed to purchase the standard 226 magazines as I can use them in my standard 226.
A very special thank you goes out to Ryan at Wolverine.:)

I have an X-Five Allround waiting for me. I bought the extended Nill grips and then ordered the aluminum mag well extension from ROCO. I also bought the mag extensions from them which I assume can be fitted to the 10 round mags OK. However, that will increase the capacity to 12 so I will have them pinned. That ROCO stuff is expensive! PM me and I will give you the details and an update on how the mag upgrade works out.
