Sig p226 x5 tactical

Not too sure about the 226 X-5, but overall I'm a huge fan of Sig Sauer. The P226 has a meaty grip, smooth trigger pull, and is very reliable. In 9mm you can hardly notice the recoil.

i have few X5s. They are expensive but there are worth every penny. You will find that most of the pistols of this quality sell for the same or more.

I know this is a fairly old thread so I hope to get some advice if I bump it up . I just purchased an X5 tactical which won't be getting here for a while so I will be looking for extra mags and a holster. Do regular 226 mags work and will they work well with the extended mag well, and where the heck can I find a holster ? Thank you in advance.

My x five is at sig sauer proshop to get the extractor replaced for the second time. MD charlton could not help me so I had to take care of the problem myself. Besides that issue, the gun is pretty solid.

I have had mine for two years now with no problems at all although I have heard that others have had problems with the internal extractor. The pistol is amazingly accurate and lots of fun to shoot. Unless things have changed recently the "Tactical" comes with regular grips not the extended magwell ones. I changed my grips out for Hogue G-10 grips just because I like a little more grip. Regular 226 mags are what comes with the pistol so finding mags is not a problem.

Hmmm that looks like a good fit. I have a lot of blade techs for other pistols, and they work well, but will definitely wear the finish a little faster. I would love to find something in Safariland so maybe I will look up the 220 match since there are no listings for the X-5. Thanks everyone.

The STI TargetMaster is a better gun, for less money, cheaper mags, better sights, and is the tried & true 1911 frame and slide.

TargetMaster is a 6" barrel though. The STI guns are very very accurate too. I have the TargetMaster and love it but I wouldn't mind if it was 5" length.

that would be the Range Master (ok different sights)

Maybe start a new thread...many members will read the first post, not notice the date or any subsequent posts, and answer the OP's question instead of yours.

I think the tactical is the only one with aluminum frame; I'd go for a steel frame. If you want black there is the X-Five SO which is basically a black Allround with rail :)
