Hey guys,
I have tried out a coupe of SIg P226 Elites this past week and am really impressed. I would like one, but am curious as to whether people have had problems with theirs and what those problems might be? Picky with ammo? FTF or FTE's? Any help would be great.
Cheers

have a elite in .40 i am the second owner mine has gone bang everytime doesnt seem to be picky about what i feed it.

I have the p226 elite stainless steel and they are bullet proof. I've feed factory 115g, 124g,147g, winclean 124g and 124g reloads and never had an issue. I've yet to hear of any issues with sig p226's.

My 226 Elite has eaten everything I've shoved down it's throat. From round nose to hollow point and even lead. With a 226 your good to go. No worries :D

ive got an elite in 9mm, not a single problem with it in 7000 or so rounds so far, including a few thousand round days

I have two P226's, one classic, and one Stainless which I've used for IPSC for the past 4 years

Out of about 5000 rounds through it so far, I have a grand total of ZERO ftf, fte, etc. :D
It's been a sweet shooter, that's for sure.

I like the P226. It's reliable and shoots great, especially with a SRT trigger. The recoil spring is very strong on my Elite, and I've never had it out of battery.

The biggest problem I have with it is the grip size. I hope that Sig releases an E2 grip reduction kit so I can modify the grip.

I have one. I had problems with Winchester ammunition. I had the occasional failure to extract. Either the cases or my extractor was out of spec. I switched to Remington and have never had any failures since. Go figure.

Thanks guys, Im definitely looking to get one. Just wanted to know what other owners have encountered. I posted an ad on the ee for a trade for my \glock 17 with a bunch of extras and my Remington 870 7 shot synthetic 12 gauge for a P226 Elite. Is this a fair offer or am I low?

How much would a used Elite SS in 9mm be worth after good use but being well taken care of?
.....I would guess most owners wouldnt want to give them up either....just out of my price point right now
