Anybody have a refurb P226 with rail? I have been looking around and with the used prices of sigs almost as much as new I have been thinking of picking up a CPO with rail. I have read online about crappy finish etc but that was with earlier ones years ago. Anbody buy a newer refurb lately and care to chime in about it, thanks

Just bought a factory refurb Sig P220R.....I am VERY happy with the condition....It looks almost brand new...including the finish....upon dissasembling it the internals look like they have been all replaced.....I couldnt resist since it was about $300 less then a brand new one......

I don't think there is anything wrong with the CPO deal. Sig apparently replaces the internals and springs ( I think, I could be wrong but I know that the springs definitely get replaced!).

You have to remember that a police pistol often has only 5000 rounds through it before being replaced or retired. That's enough to break it in and smooth things out.

I've run a Sig 229 to 90 000 rounds and I currently have a 226 with over 15000 rounds with zero issues!

Enjoy the CPO! You saved money, you have a good gun and shooting is fun!
