I'm considering purchasing a 227, I already have a 226 and love it and the controls..Perfect fit for me. I also like 45 ACP and the Sig P227 seems to me to be the perfect fit...anybody have any feedback to give me about this pistol model..issues concerns pros and cons...Appreciate your comments.
 
I've owned two, a regular P227 and the P227 Equinox. The pistol is my least favourite when compared to my other sig pistols; P229, P320, P226 X5 allround, P220 match elite, P226 LDC and 1911 Max Michel Edition. I really disliked the slop in the trigger. Even after installing a 220 SRT, I wasn't complete happy with the trigger or accuracy. I know that most of my other pistols are not in the same class but it wasn't until I took my slide from my P220 match which is a 5" match barrel and put it on the P227 frame that's when I really started to notice it's potential. Conversely the accuracy went down on my P220 when mated with the P227 upper. BTW the slides are completely interchangeable on the 227 and 220.

Anyway, most of this is subjective but I hope it helps you in your considerations.

Yes actually after a little more research I decided on the Sig P220 Combat...Really like the looks and the 220 is an established tried and true gun so I picked one up from SFRC...It'll go well with my MK25.
 
Love my P227! Perfect sibling for a P226;)
Nothing bad to say about mine.
P220 is cool too I suppose but 8 rds vs 10rds in a mag
 
How does the E2 grip compare to the E2 grip on the 226?
I absolutely despised the size of it on the 226 so being forced to endure it on a 227 will be a deal breaker if the dimensions are the same.
