Sig P227

There are a few on gunbroker so if you want to be the first in Canada to own one, contact Jason @ irunguns.ca and he will hook you up. I am tempted to get one right now.

I think Questar has some on order as well, wasn't even looking at a 45 till I saw it sweet looking gun. I love my P226 and they say it's like shooting one so ya I'm going to get one. Jason @ irunguns is Awsome to deal with I agree.

Is there a SIG that isnt nice looking?

10 round mag capacity .45acp? Oh my....

Looks like it'll fit accessories for people that own a P226 already. I like where this is going ;).

P227 Pron! ;)

Looks good. I really like pistols that have "natural" ten-round magazines (like the HK45) so you don't have a grip that's any bigger than it needs to be. However, I briefly owned a P226 with the E2 grip and short trigger and discovered a couple things I didn't care for—the re-shaped backstrap lowered my grip more than I liked (and the P22x pistols don't need any help with increasing bore axis!) and the combination of the grip and trigger made the single-action reach too short for my liking—and I've got small hands, too. I think my perfect combination would be a short trigger with traditionally-shaped grips with the E2 texture.

I wonder if the frame is an exact enough match to the P226 that the mags are interchangeable .

If so the mags may be more popular than the pistol.

Can 9mm cartridges fit in a .45ACP mag? I know they'll work fine in .40 mags but I'd think that they would not be able to fit in properly.

Won't know for sure until it's function tested. I would suspect that 9mm wouldn't work in a .45acp mag, but I could be pleasantly surprised on this one.

Worst comes to it this may just give owners of .40 P226 some more capacity to compete with ;).

I would love to hold one of these, the one main issue I found with my 220 was how thin the grip was compared to my 226. If this matches up with a 226 frame I just might have to be foolish.

I would just buy a 220.

The upper of the P220 will work on the P227, the lower is almost identical to the P226 so same holster etc. I have the one piece E2 grip on my 226 so it should feel very similar in my hand.I spoke to somebody who looked at it at shot show and said it felt so much like a 226. And who doesn't like an extra 2 rounds :) So I'll wait till it comes ( even though a CGN dealer just got a couple sweet P220 in stock)

Interesting points. I felt the high bore axis less of an issue with the E2. Then again I have hands that Peter Dinklage might find small.

P227 might, just might, get me into the 45 world.
