Sig P228 barrel

Hi there,
can anyone tell me if a Sig P229 barrel in 9mm will fit and function in a Sig P228 9mm slide/pistol? I am not inquiring about the 229-1, but the regular 229 9mm. I have heard lots of contradictory answers. I have seen in places mention of the Sig 228/229 9mm barrel, but am wondering if all the 229 (not 229-1) 9mm barrels should be interchangeable.

The barrels are interchangeable for the 229 and 228 and have the same part number excepting of course as you stated the 229-1. My 228R has the same barrel as my 229's do.

Yes, as KXC says, P228/P229 are interchangeable
