Just wanted to know your experiences with this "budget" pistol. I got it for $467 to my door on a boxing day sale. I have needed a 9mm for a good long time, as I sold all my previous ones and went to strictly .22lr pistols and .45acp 1911's.
Anyhow, I just like the clunky look to these and thought what the heck? It is only gonna be for a fun plinking type of gun for informal range shooting. I usually just shoot by myself early in the morning (6a.m. or later in the evening 9p.m.) and like to set object to hit at various distances like plastic drink bottles, golf balls, orange clay targets etc. and once in a while shoot for groups at 10-15 yards.
1) So, are the sights on this gun decent for target practice and if not, are there other replacement sights on the market for these guns?
2) Are the triggers good, crap, or fixable with a different spring etc. ?
3) Are there any places in Canada that sell other grip frames or accessories for these? Holsters? Possibly caliber X-change kits? So it could shoot 40S&W?

Seriously? It's pitch black here in YYC that time of day.

Our summer/spring/fall up here in Yellowknife brings with it extended light hours. I've gone shooting at 3am dozens of times and it was plenty bright to shoot. The few times I shoot in winter, I bring 2 big lights and also point my truck on high beams at my targets. It works for me.

Didn't think you were north enough to glean that benefit?

I worked Melville Island back in the 80's. That was a 24 hr pitch black (and blowing snow) winter or a 24 hr daylight summer proposition.

I any event, it would be pitch black up there now.

While the p320 trigger is really good, the 250's is not so much. I bet a trigger job could take a lot of the gritty feeling out, otherwise you can look into the apex flat faced trigger to help compensate. Gray guns does action enhancement and competition enhancement packages, but they're in the US and I'm not sure how that works with shipping them the trigger group since that's the part considered to be the firearm.

Regardless of if yours came with the sig contrast sights or the night sights, i would upgrade. I really like trijicon HD's for combat/tactical/general use, but I'd grab some fiber optics if you're doing more precision type target shooting. Dawson precision or tru glo are places to look into

As far as holsters go, I'm a big fan of blade tech personally, but there are lots of manufacturers out there depending on what style you like. Anything made for the p320 should fit the p250 as well.

I bought my p320 at the red deer shooting Center, as well as my trijicons and a small grip frame. Black box customs in Calgary stocks and installs the apex flat triggers IIRC

Has anyone here actually replaced their sights on a P250? I thought they were fixed and not replaceable and I'm hoping I'm wrong.

I've never heard of a p22x series sig pistol that had non-removable sights. They should be no different than any other one of those pistols in removal/installation, and they all take the same sights. The trijicons I put on my p320 would fit on my p226 if I chose to swap them.
