I'd recommend you get the tactical (threaded barrel one) with the shorter slide&grip if you can, with some x-vtac sights and x-carry frame and you're golden. An x-trigger is also a nice upgrade.

Some folks dont like how 'big' & 'tall' it is as compared to an m&p9, so as long as it fits comfortably in your hands, go for it.
Also, .40cal mags load up 13 rounds reliably, I haven't had any feeding issue with mine.
