Not looking for an argument about quality here boys. Got to shoot a 516 a little while I was deployed. Great rifle.

More just curious about we're the few in Canada came from, and what they cost new.

You are right, all reviews are for the US made one. The question now, is are they that different?

That's the real question. I would be willing to bet that the German made one will be to higher quality standards, but we'll have to wait until some get in to Canada and a thorough review is done before we can be sure it's comparable to a Noveske or KAC.

american vs German sig makes all the difference, go on M4c and see what they have to say about some of the POS rifles sig usa has been turning out

I wouldn't put too much faith in what is thrown around on the M4 whatever forms in the US. I've owned a Sig Sauer 516 (US Made) and can say that it is one of the highest quality AR's that I've ever had the pleasure of shooting. Totally reliable, excellent fit and finish. Remember this is not a DI gun and most of the US Forms don't seem to like anything that is not a DI.

Go to U-tube and check out the many videos that were done when the 516 was shown to the Thai forces. Very, very impressive performance. I cannot speak for the other Sig Sauer rifles. Some of the Sig Sauer 556 guns have had quality control issues. The M400 is just another DI AR, different beast.

I own many HK products including the MR223 and have shot the 416 extensively including a great deal of full-auto fire over a period of time. The Sig Sauer 516, in many respects, is a better rifle than the HK 416. The German made 516's are good but the barrels are very heavy and not chrome-lined like the US made guns. I've examined both closely and the US made gun does not give up anything in quality to the German made gun. The German made gun is a pig (but beautiful pig if you like accurate, heavy non-chrome lined barrels), the US gun is very light and handy.
