Does anyone have any information on when or if this will be coming to Canada? Maybe some of the dealers could weigh in on this.

It looks like a renewal of the SIG 542 and comes in a tasty 7.62 x 51mm and even better from Europe. Also the barrel length would make this non-restricted. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm tasty.

A friend here on CGN was recently visiting the SAN factory. He tells me that he was informed they are producing a model for the Canadian market with an 18 inch barrel. He can chime in if he feels like it.

New hunting rig, here I come :)

Seriously though, I think this topic came up last year. As I recall, price would similar to the HK 308. Hopefully this becomes available soon.

I hope he meant 18.5 plus inches. It has a good chance of being non-restricted then given the comparison to a Classic Green.

If I were to put money on it after the classification of the Sig 522lr I would say this will be a prohib now no matter what configuration it comes in. :(

But this one is made by Swiss Arms, not Sig. And, the information I got (again, second hand), is that SAN was making one for the Canadian market. Also, it is listed on Wolverine Supplies price list now.

I would buy one of these, I have been hoping for the XCR-M ( long wait) but as I already have an XCR-L + conversion kit it maybe time to try a Swiss Arms if they are coming soon.

18.5 inches imbound boys. It now takes it's own plastic mag with clamps just like the 5.6 mm mags. Produced as a semi - auto only gun, no select fire variants (SAPR, Semi Automatic Precision Rifle). Bolt is changed a bit, now has dual locking system for the bigger .308 round. Price about $4000 ish. Stay tuned.
