Hey guys,

Many of you who own and run a Sig Sauer 1911 probably love your gun. I used to have one (sigh) but departed with it. The only problem I had with it was that Holsters are impossible to find for it due to it's unique slide profile. I had a Blade-tech but hated it, as it didn't retain well at all, and wasn't a quality fit for it.

A close friend of mine has contacted numerous holster companies, and a US company, Armadillo Concealment has contacted us on making him a Custom Kydex for his Tac Ops with a Surefire X300. Essentially he needs a minimum of 10 pre orders, and he will make a run of these holsters. This offer is open to the US, but he does ship to Canada as well if any CGN users are in.

As of now, the only Sig Sauer 1911 option is a 5" railed variant like the 1911R, Tac Ops, and Stainless. You can select numerous color, belt width, IWB/OWB, Light options and cut options. Please see the link for pricing options and shipping options. They also offer a multitude of magazine holsters, as well as holsters for more common makes. Their production and shipping time is also weeks, not months.

This isn't a promotion for the company, I don't own a holster made from them. But I wish this offer was around when I owned my Tac Ops! Contact them if you have any questions!

Hope this solve's a lot of your Sig 1911 woes....

Nice looking Raven knock off

While there are a lot of other holster manufactures who are copying design we are not. Pancake holsters have been around for years prior to the invention of Kydex. So, I guess you can say we "knocked off" the leather guys.

I appreciate the post and offered this as an option to customers who asked for me to add the Sig 1911.

If I had a SIG 1911 I would be jumping on this. They are not easy to find a decent holster for (as has been pointed out...the serpas are one of the few options, and then you are stuck with a serpa).

For people who have not converted to the kydex pancake: convert. It's the way to go, IWB or OWB.

I am always amazed at how many people with buy a $1200 gun and then stick it in a cheap nylon sock.

If you have a SIG 1911 and you want a holster, this is the time to make your move.

:agree:

Definitely- the alternatives are so limited (get one of these, or custom order a holster) that this is a no brainer for Sig 1911 owners. Once you've used this style of holster, you don't consider the serpa an option.

Placed my order. Can't wait to get it, mostly cause then I can come up with a sick and twisted disposal method for the POS bladetech it will be replacing.
