I don't wanna interrupt this pissing match, but what are the chances of getting a new bolt and using at mags, turning into a .223?

This rifle may not be allowed as it a variant of SIG 552 a prohibited rifle from Importation.

The rifle is not a variant but a new design. While it looks similar to the 556 it is NOT the same and it cannot be converted. It has NOT been market by SIG as a variant (which is what screwed their 556).

The RCMP are evaluating this now and we are hopeful they will agree with that conclusion... time will tell.

As for pricing, we estimate these will retail here in Canada for less than $699.00

It's amazing how most of us keep hoping and that hopes keeps us going. We must really love this sport.
I don't want to open another can of worms but I sincerely hope that who ever evaluates this will put on a different attitude than who ever looked at the GSG5. If this goes sour, that would be the 2nd kick in the jaw in a very short time and that bl00dy hurts.
