Hopefully one of you fine folks will be able to answer this. I've looked everywhere and cannot find out what the letters WR together at the end of Sigs model codes means. For example W226-9-SP WR
I know what the rest of the code refers to but I am stumped on the last two letters.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
It's a newer gun 2014 manufacture date but with mil spec rail & and short extractor like the mk25. The code came from a picture of the label on the side of the pistol box from a person that I'm looking to purchase this pistol from.
 
Seems like a strange configuration for that gun to have rosewood grips...

In the other thread, the gun has E2 grips. That would make more sense for a tactical pistol.
 
I thought so as well but the sp or special production models come with all kinds of weird features since they where made as a special order.
I'm hopefully going to see this pistol tomorrow and will report back with the actual specs of the gun.
