Hey nutz, i was wondering if any learned persons shooting a sig p226 9mm or a sig 220 combat .45acp could share there experiences as i will soon be in the market for one of these two pistols, im leaning on the 220.
what are your thoughts about buying one of these pistols used?
In-terms of ammo what do you successfully feed these two firearms? im looking to purchase factory ammo or WOLF ammo for the first year or two wile building a reloading station. any general thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
thanks,

go for SIG 226R Elite SS in 9 mm a super reliable & accurate gun

I have the 226ST, 229Elite and the 220R. I love shooting the 220 but .45acp even reloaded costs more and you spend much of your time crawling around looking for your brass. 9mm is the cheapest to reload and brass is easy to get. Buy a 220 after you get the 226, enjoy both.

The 226 is a double-stack, and the grip is a bit wider than the 220, which is a single-stack magazine. Otherwise, fit, feel and finish are very similar.
