Could be wrong, but that's the slim trigger in those photos and the slide is stamped E2. I would say they are actual E2s, kinda strange that there would be some cpos out already. Nonetheless, that's an excellent price for an E2 if started life as one

Does the refurb E2 has SRT (Short reset trigger) like the new ones or it's just a plain CPO with some E2 grips installed?

They are factory Sig 226E2 pistols and have a mix of night sights, Trijicon or Meprolights, as far as I can tell they are SRT triggers, I picked mine out today already.:p

Read on Sigforum : "Some CPOs are complete rebuilds. Some are new factory pistols sold to agencies that were never issued by them. They're just checked, not rebuilt."

It makes some sense; it might be some agencies return that even new, cannot be resold as new. Most CPOs I've seen looked like new pistols: they were refinished, the internals had been replaced and were a good bang for the bucks.

You can't make a P226 an e2 just by installing the grips...although I wish you could.

Needs a different mainspring housing and some other parts, IIRC.

Newer models just need a new mainspring housing. Older model also need a longer mainspring. There have been some reports that some need a new slide stop lever or need to bend it, I don't know which model are affected though....
