Hey guys .
It's been 2 years I have my sig P226 X5 super match , I got it brand new and put 1000 rounds in it ( maybe more )

Super accurate ( not comparable with any of hand guns)

I do not know if I have a problem or not and I don't even remember when I got it had the same issue ( watch the video )
However my x5 shoots great .

Did this just start happening or always been there? I don't think that is a serious issue as it doesn't seem like it would stop the slide from going into battery during shooting. I've had pistols that were similar but it never affected the function and they smoothed out after some use - however usually after no more than a few hundred. If it really bothers you take it in and have someone look at it but i would not be too worried.

I have a super match as well , I will check when I get home tonight .. if it is off MD Charlton where fantastic I have the trigger bar break off on my other , x5 and I had it repaired and back in a month..

I don't remember but , all I remember first time I saw that was the first time I opened it for cleaning ,
I need to see a brand new single action the same model to find out,

Does this ever occur while shooting or manipulating the slide properly (full travel/full momentum)?

If yes, you’ve got a problem. If no, don’t worry about it. The slide is meant to be driven at full force, not intentionally gently pulled a few mm here and there.

I was just looking at mine , i was replicating what you where doing but mine always went into full battery is your recoil spring screwed or catching on anything .

Do you have SA/ DA or SAO ?

I remember at first 100 rounds box ammo Federam had the same issue but I did not know cause x5 super match was new to me .

I'm going to disassemble it tonight and double check .
Thank you my good friend.

The answer is yes . ..

But

I have never have any problem .
Unbelievable smooth and never jam . Crazy accurate even more than my Crazy horse M21A5 in 25 m.

The slide does full travel while shooting , not for first time while I want to put first bullet into the chamber.

My P226 mk 25 did this for me too. It was a malfunction of my own stupidity. I had forgotten to de #### the hammer before trying to take out or replace the locking block. I understand that you have a single action that is far superior. Either way it was my own fault, I wanted to share my stupidity to turn it into wisdom. To me this is now like the idiot scratch on a 1911. To fix it I removed the block and used 400 grit paper to remove the scratches around the block and I never had an issue again.
