Sig SP2022 9mm

It isn't that common a pistol compared to others. I never heard of the model until a short time ago. It is a prohib without the longer barrel inserted, so it's difficult even finding the pistol for sale.

No mags here so unless you go stateside, you won't get any right now. That's the bottom line. I made sure there were mags available somewhere before buying it, as I don't want to be stuck with 1 magazine. I do purchase from Brownells as there are many items that I cannot find here, Canada is a small market and some parts are impossible to acquire here. I know US exchange sucks right now, but it's either that or using only 1 magazine.

There is a Stainless Steel Guide Rod that people seem to be upgrading their Sig Pro with... anyone have a Canadian source for this guide rod?

Here's what someone writes about the Sig Pro SP2022's production:

"The French contract run of Sig Pros were produced in Germany. During a time around 2010-2011 the frame production moved from Germany to Exeter. And the slide began to have the Nitron instead of Ilaflon. The triple serial numbered sp2022's in the states picked up by civilians are contract overruns. There are probably more versions of the Sigpro than most pistols as the transition to Exeter took place and assembly from remaining parts took place. Rest assured, your Exeter is also a fine pistol. However, if you find yourself in an opportunity to pick up a triple-get it."

Any of you guys have the German framed version?

I'm actually not 100% sure as I never had one next to the other. But if I had to take an educated guess and looking at comparison pictures on google, the SP2022 seems to be about the same size as a 226, and a 239 is definitely more compact than a 226.

Side note, the 239 is my favorite handgun right now.

Sorry to derail but its funny how many guys I've blocked over the years cause they are meat heads and I keep seeing them all banned...........wonder why??

Mine was perfect right out of the box. Brownells has mags for $40.99 each. US money has gone up but nobody has brought in any magazines. Even if they come in, I doubt they'll be under $60 CDN.

That company deals with Canadian citizens. Had a few Beretta 92 ones sent up from them.
