So my gf wants a Stainless Elite, caliber is irrelevant as she won't know the difference anyway. I am leaning toward either .40 or 9mm personally for different reasons. Just wondering what those of you that own/owned them think? I am not a Sig fan but I am willing to give them another shot. Are they all German manufactured?

Stainless SIG Sauer Elite has a German made frame with an American mashined slide.
Have a SRT factory installed, night sights and rosewood grips.
I have mine for more then 5yrs and I can say that worth every penny I paid for it.

B,

If that is what she wants then get her one. 40 will cost a lot more to feed.

No not all sigs are made in Germany, the German sigs cost quite a bit more than U.S. made sigs. When buying new, if you want a German made you will likely need to special order and will have to pay $1K more. Just the way it is.

The elite is worth the extra money.

If she doesn't like it, it will be easy to sell, as they are great guns.

I have thousands of dollars worth of components suitable for .40 as I am sort of obsessed with 10mm auto. 9mm is another choice as its cheap and I won't have to bother loading ammo. I see questar lists them for $1368 plus tax with a 12-24 week wait. Any dealers offering a better deal or shorter wait...?
