I have an older P226. It is the one with the internal extractor non-rail model with the stamped slide with spring pin. It has German markings on the underside of the slide just infront of the dust cover. It is chambered in 9MM. What would a pistol like this be worth? Much Thanks

At this point, I value it at $14,000,000.00, mostly because it is invisible, and invisible P226s are extremely rare.

Pics? Or at least a date code / serial number series?

Well I can finally retire!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What numbers would be needed off of the serial number? I would have to post pics/numbers sunday night. Currently out of town hunting!!!!! :)

Just the first 4 of the serial after the U would let us determine the year pretty accurately, the date code and proof marks would be nice, and if the grips are original, there'll be a date of manufacture in there, as well, which is usually the most accurate. Other than that, pictures of the rails are the most important thing, along with an accurate description of the condition.

Oh, and the import marks (Tyson's Corner, Herndon, etc...)

Oh, and right of first refusal for me.

Alright so I have the serial number here it is U5460** then an N at an angle and a crown at an angle. There is some minor holster wear and according to the link from post #5 it has had between 2000-4000 rounds through it(dark gold/orange on the rails). The barrel has the same N and Crown as does the slide what looks like a thistle and what looks like a KB.
Sry no pics at this time. I can't find the cable for my camera.

its worth exactly twice what all P226's made in new hampshire are. Sigs made in Germany go through a third party QC control that U.S. guns don't and are twice the pistols. I don't buy any Sig that has any U.S. parts, never will. they are not the same guns period. If you can buy that gun for 600-800 you are getting a super deal, Mags are easy to come by, it should come with two but if it only comes with one don't worry about it.

HK's are the same, we are lucky in Canada as all our HK's are German made and the U.S guns are made in the U.S. again with much worse QC so we are getting the better gear by far.

The only QC issues I've had from Sig Sauer stuff made in the United States, is supplied parts... namely the 1911 mags that came with mine.

The Qc issues have blown out of proportion. The only valid reason to not buy a US model is if you look for a non-rail model with a stamped slide...
